Conceptual DE and File Manager by DevianTN7k1 Conceptual DE and File Manager by DevianTN7k1
This is another Conceptual Image, more in tone with current Linux desktops.

A top Panel displays the Username, this would be a button which would contain shortcuts to stuff such as system settings, power off, restart, log out options and the like.

In the bottom there's the Task Manager displaying currently running applications.

The File Manager presented here follows the design of my previous concepts, a simple Manager, with a simple Interface.

The sidebar slides out when activated and gives the user basic actions to do.

You know what? the way you designed the guide bubbles, if the notification bubbles will be like that then it will be awesome!

If only Notification bubbles could be themeable...

Yeah if I make a new notification software, but I meant that current notifications aren't themeable.

You should try to do your own distro haha! It's nice this concept... just one thing I would change... the gradient in the file manager toolbar... Those tones aren't playing well with the interface.. I think they should be softer... But I'd like to try this great inteface someday!!!

Heh, they will never go for something like this, they won't change their beloved Unity.

Actually, Unity it's been there since 10.10. They only started using it since 11.04 full-time.

id like to see this in ubuntu but, i guess canonical only trusts nautilus. maybe if this comes out and becomes a hit in a couple years they will adopt it.

Canonical only trusts Unity, and Unity uses Gnome under the hood so yeah, They'll never do this.
